New Lakeshore Sports Car Club Meeting Location

Lakeshore Sports Car Club has moved the monthly meeting location to Bubs Irish Pub located at N166 W16218 Main Street, Germantown, Wisconsin 53022. Western Michigan SCCA & Midwestern Council have agreed to add the SCCA Grattan weekend to the MC schedule

The Western Michigan SCCA has invited Midwestern Council racers to participate in their June 17-18 2023 weekend event held at the Grattan Raceway. More details to follow, but all cars that run will need to meet the SCCA rules for safety. In addition, entrants running on a Midwestern Council license will earn Midwestern Council championship points. More to come.

Lakeshore Sports Car Club along with the Salt Creek Sports Car Club will once again partner to put on the April 22-23 Drivers School weekend. 2021 LSCC Wheel to Wheel Champions

Lakeshore Sports Car Club had three wheel to wheel class champions in 2021. 2021 LSCC Autocross Champion

Jim Platz defended his Autocross title from 2020 with three wins and a second in 2021. Jim was extremely close to having a perfect 2021 season but was edged out by a razor thin margin at the first event. Jim went on to win the next three events to seal the deal. Great job Jim!

2020 Lakeshore Wheel to Wheel Champions

Lakeshore’s Callahan Kohls brought home the 2020 Spec Miata Championship in a very difficult class where wins can be by a fraction of a second.

Keeping it in the family, Callahan’s father Steven won the ITA championship also driving a Mazda Miata. You will often see these two nose to tail on the track swapping positions many times in a race.

The ITGT Championship was high drama for Lakeshore’s Joe Conway in 2020. Joe finished second at the July Blackhawk Farms race. Later that month he was testing at Road America and had an oil pump failure causing severe damage to his engine.

2020 Lakeshore Autocross Champions

Lakeshore’s Michael Palmer brought home the D Stock Championship winning two out of the four events.

Lakeshore’s Randy Platz brought home the A Modified Championship piloting his 1973 Corvette.

Not to be out-done, Randy’s brother Jim brought home the Z Prepared Championship also driving a car manufactured in Bowling Green Kentucky.
