Lakeshore Sports Car Club had three wheel to wheel class champions in 2021. Nicole Temple repeated as ITD champion running five events on the Midwestern Council schedule and winning…
Jim Platz defended his Autocross title from 2020 with three wins and a second in 2021. Jim was extremely close to having a perfect 2021 season but was edged out by a razor thin margin at the first event. Jim went on to win the next three events to seal the deal. Great job Jim!
Kristin Klahn and Joshau Madell successfully completed the Midwestern Council Driver’s School April 24th.
Midwestern Council’s Sim Racing League just completed the winter session with Lakeshore’s Cam Ebben taking the Series Championship.
Lakeshore Sports Car Club and the Salt Creek Sports Car Club have a spreadsheet of assignments for the April weekend event. Contact one of your Board Members if you have questions or would like to help out in any way at the track. Friendly on the job training will be provided.

Lakeshore’s Callahan Kohls brought home the 2020 Spec Miata Championship in a very difficult class where wins can be by a fraction of a second.
Keeping it in the family, Callahan’s father Steven won the ITA championship also driving a Mazda Miata. You will often see these two nose to tail on the track swapping positions many times in a race.
The ITGT Championship was high drama for Lakeshore’s Joe Conway in 2020. Joe finished second at the July Blackhawk Farms race. Later that month he was testing at Road America and had an oil pump failure causing severe damage to his engine.
Lakeshore’s Michael Palmer brought home the D Stock Championship winning two out of the four events.
Lakeshore’s Randy Platz brought home the A Modified Championship piloting his 1973 Corvette.
Not to be out-done, Randy’s brother Jim brought home the Z Prepared Championship also driving a car manufactured in Bowling Green Kentucky.
